60 Second Speech - July 24th 08

Another week, another 60 second slot to talk about my business at my local BNI meeting.  In the next couple of weeks I’m going to refrain from pre-prepared blurb in order to push myself into thinking a little more on the spot.  While it’s all well and good being able to prepare a short speech about your business, you’ll very rarely have the opportunity to pull out a script during a regular networking event.  I’ll still write in here to recap what I’ve said, however obviously it’ll be after I’ve done it rather than before.  Anyhow, read on for this weeks dazzling diatribe…

Morning all, I’m Bob Bobson from Bobs Brilliant Sites and I design and develop websites.

This week, in addition to asking for referrals from anyone you may know who is in need or a new website or a revamp to an existing one, I’d like to ask for leads from places such as PR agencies, marketing companies, graphic design agencies and other related businesses whose target market and typical clientbase resembles my own, and who would like to be able to offer web design without the need to hire a developer on a fulltime basis.

Because I work freelance, I’m in a position to offer those types of businesses the ability to add web design to their list of services, and then simply bring me in to fulfil any jobs they have on an ad hoc basis.  So basically those businesses would be my clients, meaning they can charge whatever markup they want to their clients, pay me at my regular rate, and pocket the difference.

So if you know of anyone in those fields who may benefit from the opportunity to expand what they offer to their customers, then please pass on my details.
