Apologies for Inactivity…

Wow, over 3 weeks without an update… man do I feel flakey!
This post is really an apology slash excuse making session about the fact I’ve been nowhere to be seen for the better part of a month, and an assurance to anyone who may keep track of this blog that I will be back to my regular weekly updates shortly.
The reason for my disappearance is my impending house move, which I’ve mentioned in past posts. It’s all supposed to be going through this weekend (I say “supposed to be” because this entire process has been a farce, one which I won’t bore you with here), so hopefully come next week I’ll be nicely settled in my new place and ready to get back to posting.
If anything, this probably serves as an example of how a change in personal situation can impact you life as a freelancer and a business owner… this blog isn’t the only thing that hasn’t received my full attention - unfortunately some of my current projects are moving a little slower than usual because they’re sharing time with me packing boxes, making endless phone calls, detail cleaning the house etc etc. Although this hasn’t negatively affected my relationships with clients (since I usually add a couple of weeks onto completion date estimates anyway), it’s certainly thrown a lot of things up in the air, and isn’t something I want to go through again anytime soon!
So, a word of warning to any of you budding freelancers out there… when you’re in business for yourself, expect the usual stresses of life to become even more of a thorn in your side!
